The following pictures contradict one of the many claims of the fynbos ideologues. - - -- -- --- - - ----- - -- -- -- - --------v---- -- - - Below: Fynbos is only growing between the young pines

Above pic shows the area on top of the Steenberg vineyard water pond. The pine trees were felled in 2000. About half of the clear-felled area had been replanted. As the above picture proofs, nothing but Port Jackson is growing in the area without trees. The adjacent picture shows the young pine tree plantation with lots of flourishing fynbos !

These pictures suggest to plant pine trees on the upper slopes of

the mountain to support fynbos growth and prevent further erosion !

The trees could be thinned out once they take too much sunlight.
